Artist Bio

Cyndy Broekers is a Melbourne-based (Adelaide-bred) mixed media artist known for her evocative, story-rich paintings rooted in memory and cultural nostalgia. After three decades in the corporate world, she made a bold pivot into art, where she now explores themes of belonging, childhood, and the pieces of the past that stay with us.

Her layered, expressive works are influenced by retro aesthetics, family slides, and the simple joy of growing up in Australia in the 60s, 70s, and 80s. Cyndy’s art invites viewers to reconnect with their own histories – those everyday moments that shaped who we are today.

Her paintings have been featured in local council exhibitions, acquired for public and private collections, and showcased in group shows.

Beyond the Studio

Alongside her art practice, Cyndy is the creator of The Artist’s Reboot: a mission-style membership designed to help artists and creatives find clarity, momentum, and meaning in their work. Drawing on her background in coaching and creative facilitation, she guides members through quests, reflections and community connection, blending playful retro aesthetics with practical tools.

Whether through painting or guiding, Cyndy’s work is about unlocking memories, re-imagining possibility, and helping others find their way back to what matters.
