Did you know that Icee was a happy accident in 1958 after a Dairy Queen owner in Kansas, Omar Knedlik’s soda machine broke down.
He put bottles of soda in the freezer to keep them cold. When he started selling them, they instantly turned to slush when opened - but customers loved it!
The ICEE cup reminds me of summer days during school holidays; thirsting for that sweet syrupy frozen drink after riding our bikes around the neighbourhood.
This series reminds me of a time that was so much fun, so carefree and full of adventure and curiousity.
It inspires me to bring more of that back into my life! I hope it does the same for you.
This is a study for my 'After School Delights' series.
